oogaa Home owner and creative talent Samantha Skolnik has turned a nomadic existence to great advantage. Now on her third continent, Samantha has dedicated herself to learning first-hand how childhood is lived in many countries, to cherry pick the best of what different cultures offer their children and to identify the common threads that unite children everywhere.
The inspiration for oogaa Home dates back to when Samantha was nine. She and her classmates started drawing different characters on pale yellow post-it-notes and, ever the entrepreneur, selling them for twenty-five cents apiece. They called the little characters oogaas, after the old oogaa horns. Samantha kept her little sketches in her portfolio, only to be inspired by them 20 years later.
